This account is for vegan razors. I wish I had one of their razors myself (though I’m not sure I would use it much, they’re just so nice). Their message is all about shaving if and when you want, and they advertise their product with a whole range of women who are different shapes, sizes and ethnicities. Their account is very aesthetic and it’s always pleasing seeing their posts on my feed.

Incredible woman. I love her so much. Her account promotes her book, Women Don’t Owe You Pretty which if you haven’t already read, you must! She preaches about personal growth, being able to feel love and satisfaction in your body and building up a positive relationship with yourself.

Firstly her hair is the best thing ever. Secondly, she posts some amazing body positive content. One of my favourite ‘summer body ready’ images is from one of her posts.
@vivianhoorn
Her Instagram scrolls like Vogue for body positivity and I think she’s wonderful. Her content isn’t only focused on body image but it’s a message she promotes frequently and articulates well. But beware, you might get a little jealous of her lifestyle, she always seems to be in beautiful locations and eating amazing food.

This lady does the best Instagram vs. reality posts. She makes me laugh and appreciate the truth behind 'the beauty myth'.
@hayleymadiganfitness
She is fantastic in that she is super healthy and works out a lot but also posts about how despite that, she isn’t ‘perfect’ and continually outs the internet for its distorted beauty standards and the false nature of social media. A great person to follow if you want exercise inspiration but also reassurance that the internet doesn’t tend to present real, normal bodies.
@helenarosecope
This lady is very open about her mental health and promotes positive relationships with food, your body and your mind. Almost every day she asks people to respond to her story with what has made them smile that day and shares the responses which in itself always gives me a reason to smile. She is honest and true about the realities of mental health and insecurities but in being so open she is an overwhelmingly positive and uplifting force.
This is just a very small selection, there are so many more individuals out there who promote positivity in different ways, and a lot of these people also have YouTube accounts which are worth exploring.
Social media can be hard to navigate in a way that isn't toxic especially if you follow people who's content makes you make negative comparisons or feel insecure, it turns it into a negative space.
If that is the case, unfollow those people and replace them with some of the individuals above!
Allow yourself to have an online environment that makes you feel comfortable and happy.
For those of you who may not have social media or Instagram specifically, this message is still relevant.
Life is short and it's not worth following and engaging with people who make you question your self worth.
With people you follow online and with personal relationships, if you are not gaining a positive energy from that interaction or engagement, take a moment to question whether it's worth your time.
A quote I saw on Pinterest which sums this up perfectly...
